Ethos (Nasdaq: $LIFE) is a leading life insurance technology company democratizing access to life insurance through a three-sided platform serving consumers, agents, and carriers. The company offers instant, accessible products with no medical exams, requiring only a few health questions. You will join the fast-growing Direct-to-Consumer business as Strategy & Operations Manager, driving growth initiatives across an expanding product portfolio, multiple channels, and the full customer lifecycle. Working alongside marketing, product, and sales leaders, you'll own defined cross-functional projects that scale revenue growth and take real ownership of results. Key responsibilities include: - Own and drive growth projects from concept to completion, such as launching existing products in new marketing channels, expanding products into new distribution channels, or running analyses and pilots to improve retention. - Lead cross-functional initiatives spanning Product, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and Partnerships, keeping stakeholders aligned and execution moving. - Support identification and prioritization of growth opportunities across the product portfolio (term life, IUL, estate planning), customer lifecycle (acquisition, retention, cross-sell), and channels (organic, performance, paid social, TV, partnerships, referrals). - Analyze funnel, cohort, channel, and retention data to identify drivers and opportunities. - Build business cases and model unit economics (CAC, LTV, payback, contribution margin) to support go/no-go recommendations. - Develop working understanding of how products, channels, and teams interact to help focus on highest-impact work. - Partner across the organization to identify and pilot AI use cases that improve decision-making, output quality, and efficiency. The role is for a strategist and builder who tracks down answers, rolls up sleeves, and sees projects through—not someone who only recommends. The team is naturally aligned, truth-seeking, and moves fast, emphasizing building and executing over navigating process layers. Qualifications and Requirements: - 4-6+ years total experience, ideally 2+ years in management consulting or investment banking, followed by 2+ years in Strategy & Operations, Growth, or similar role at high-growth, venture-backed company. - Analytical and relentless: comfortable building models from scratch in Excel and SQL (or similar tools), breaking ambiguous problems into clear frameworks, tracking down data, and persisting through obstacles. - Cross-functional collaborator and communicator: build trust quickly with marketing, product, sales, and engineering; move projects forward without formal authority; communicate clearly in writing and to senior leaders. - Fast-moving operator: own projects, get hands dirty, point to end-to-end initiatives driven (not just recommendations made); ramp quickly, move fast, make decisions without perfect information. - Curious about AI: actively experiment with AI tools at work or personally to work faster and sharper; share learnings with others.
