Leona Health is an AI-powered healthcare platform serving doctors across Latin America. The company's AI assistant handles patient WhatsApp communication, appointment booking, billing, and payments—automating the "second shift" that doctors typically work after hours. Founded by experienced operators from Uber, Rappi, and Modern Fertility, Leona is backed by a16z, General Catalyst, and Accel, with operations in San Francisco and Mexico City. You will serve as the CEO's right hand, reporting directly to founder Caroline Merin. This is a high-ownership role in the Founder's Office, sitting at the center of company operations and strategy. You will own internal operations systems (finance, HR, business operations), investor relations, partnership management, and special projects. Your core responsibilities include: - Building and running day-to-day systems that keep the business running: planning, goal-setting, business reviews, and accountability for commitments - Managing investor communications and updates with a16z, General Catalyst, Accel, and angel investors; supporting fundraising efforts - Owning day-to-day partner relationships across growth and operations teams - Leading focused special projects (pricing, market entry, value proposition, recruiting) from conception to handoff to a dedicated owner This role is designed for someone who wants to learn how a venture-backed company scales from Seed stage onward by doing the work, not observing it. You will have real autonomy, direct daily mentorship from a founder, and the chance to shape how the company operates. The role requires comfort with ambiguity, high ownership with minimal structure, and the ability to create clarity independently. You'll work three days per week in the Mexico City office alongside Caroline, with occasional travel to the US and Latin America. REQUIREMENTS: - 3–5 years of experience in investment banking, consulting, venture capital, or a startup/high-growth company, with demonstrated ownership of outcomes (not just analysis) - Fluent in English and Spanish; Portuguese is a major plus - Highly organized with ability to manage multiple workstreams, prioritize effectively, and drive execution in fast-paced environments - Strong relationship-building skills; credible and convincing with investors, partners, and senior leaders - AI-native: AI is central to your current workflow; you can walk through a workflow you've built - Track record of building projects, businesses, or communities independently - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Discretion and ability to handle sensitive company information - Comfortable with high ownership and ambiguity; you create clarity rather than waiting for it - Strong sense of urgency and intrinsic motivation
