FurtherAI is hiring its first Strategy & Operations Associate to build and scale internal operations using AI-native approaches. You'll sit at the center of the company, working directly with founders and function leads across GTM (sales, marketing, product, customer success) and Engineering & Design. The role anchors on finance operations and reporting—owning the numbers, monthly close, board materials, and dashboards leadership uses to make decisions. But scope extends across the entire organization. You'll identify manual work that AI agents and internal tooling should replace, build those systems, and hand them off. You'll support FinOps and cost discipline by tracking infrastructure and vendor spend. You'll partner with GTM on pipeline hygiene, forecasting, and reporting. You'll support Engineering & Design on hiring plans and operational rhythm. You'll run cross-functional projects end-to-end: pricing analyses, market sizing, competitive research, fundraising prep. You'll own the mechanics of money moving in and out: vendor onboarding, customer invoicing, billing accuracy, collections, and expense workflows. No two weeks look the same. You report to the Chief of Staff and rotate across finance operations, GTM reporting, and eng/design operations—owning real work in each, not observing. The company moves fast and problems don't respect org charts. This role is for someone genuinely comfortable with ambiguity and scope shifts. FurtherAI is YC and a16z-backed, building AI solutions for complex, regulated industries. REQUIREMENTS: - 2–4+ years in a high-paced environment (MBB, Investment Banking, or similar required) - Genuinely AI-native: already use LLMs and agents as leverage in your own work and have built things with them, not just used a chatbot to draft an email - Strong financial and analytical skills: comfortable building and stress-testing models, pulling your own numbers without waiting on someone else - Extremely high attention to detail (this role touches money moving in and out; small errors are expensive) - Strong written and verbal communication across Finance, GTM, and Engineering - Bias toward action; based in San Francisco or willing to relocate immediately NICE TO HAVE: - Prior experience in Insurtech, Fintech, or B2B SaaS at a high-growth technology company - Hands-on experience with financial systems (QuickBooks, NetSuite, Ramp, Rippling) and BI/reporting or internal-tooling platforms (Looker, Retool, Sigma, Zapier) - Prior startup or founder experience - Exposure to sales/GTM operations and/or engineering program management
