Faire is a technology wholesale platform connecting independent retailers globally with products and brands. The company uses data, machine learning, and tech to power a multi-hundred-billion-dollar fragmented wholesale market, helping local retailers discover inventory and grow their businesses. You will lead the Strategy & Analytics function for the Discovery pillar, which owns the core shopping experience—search, recommendations, ads, and exploration. This is a Director-level role managing a team and driving strategic impact across the organization. Key responsibilities: - Drive strategic decisions at the pillar level, serving as a trusted thought partner to Discovery leadership. Conduct pillar-level analysis, level up pod work, identify white space opportunities, and connect insights across teams. - Build, manage, and develop a high-performing Strategy & Analytics team. Recruit top talent, coach individual contributors, and set clear vision and development paths. - Own offensive and defensive tracking for key company and Discovery metrics. Drive a reporting cadence to catch issues early, decompose problems, and proactively identify opportunities. - Set the standard for analytical rigor across Discovery. Raise the bar on data-driven decision-making, establish experimentation best practices, and ensure test design and result interpretation meet high standards. - Make Discovery data usable company-wide. Drive creation of datasets, documentation, and self-serve tooling so anyone at Faire can reliably leverage complex Discovery data. - Be the steward of data enablement for Strategy & Analytics. Own tooling, operating model, and cross-functional relationships to ensure strong analytical foundations. - Create systems and processes that enable the team to set analytical roadmaps, prioritize effectively, and scale impact. Share best practices with the broader S&A organization. Qualifications: - Proven ability to attract, develop, and retain top talent through team-building experience. - World-class strategic problem solver who can break down ambiguous problems and coordinate large teams. Ability to cut through noise and coach others to do the same. - Clear, structured, and concise communicator. - Strong product and business intuition; can contextualize insights within broader business goals. Ideally has deep understanding of marketplaces and/or discovery experiences. - Proactive and ownership-oriented; identifies gaps and drives solutions forward. - Strong technical analytics toolkit. Can execute deep Discovery analyses and set high bars for analytical rigor and root-cause investigation. - Cross-functional influence; strong collaborative partner who drives outcomes through stakeholders without formal authority. - Values: growth mindset, scrappy, adaptable, curious, low ego, strong work ethic.
