Slip Robotics is a B2B Robotics-as-a-Service company deploying autonomous loading and unloading robots at warehouse and fulfillment sites across North America. The company builds, deploys, and maintains its own robots, serving major shippers and 3PLs. You will build and lead the sourcing function from the ground up as the company scales. This is a hands-on role with significant ownership and direct impact on production timelines and cost targets. Key responsibilities include developing and executing sourcing strategy across direct and indirect categories; building and managing a strategic supplier portfolio with contract negotiation and pricing authority; driving sustained cost reductions through competitive bidding and supplier development; maintaining material availability against production schedules and identifying supply risks early; establishing supplier scorecards and accountability frameworks; partnering with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Finance to align sourcing with product and financial goals; and building scalable sourcing processes, workflows, and ERP infrastructure. You bring 5+ years of strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain experience in hardware or manufacturing environments. You have a proven track record negotiating and managing suppliers across mechanical, electrical, and fabricated components. You are skilled at cost modeling and should-cost analysis for negotiations. You have experience in high-mix, low-to-mid volume environments and are comfortable building processes from scratch. ERP proficiency is required; NetSuite experience is preferred. Nice-to-have qualifications include robotics or material handling background, experience scaling a hardware business from early stage, international supplier management and import/compliance knowledge, and Lean or Six Sigma certification.
