OpenAI is seeking a Strategic Partnerships Business Lead to own and advance a strategically important partnership. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will serve as the day-to-day DRI (Directly Responsible Individual) and operating leader, setting direction, building operating cadence, driving decisions, and converting shared ambition into measurable results. You will personally develop partnership plans and commercial positions, drive negotiations, write decision materials, resolve blockers, and drive execution across internal and external teams. You will become deeply familiar with both product stacks and develop a clear, defensible point of view on how OpenAI's products should integrate with, complement, or remain distinct from the partner's offerings. Key responsibilities include: owning the integrated partnership strategy and operating plan with clear priorities and outcomes; personally driving highest-priority initiatives from problem definition through implementation and measurable results; building and running rigorous internal and external operating cadence for decision velocity and accountability; developing trusted relationships across executive, commercial, product, technical, legal, finance, and deployment stakeholders; translating partnership priorities into well-formed commercial, product, technical, and go-to-market workstreams; standing up joint go-to-market motions and driving the first cohort of joint customers; developing an opinionated view of product integration grounded in customer value and technical feasibility; and preparing executive decisions while escalating only material strategy, economic, or contractual commitments. Success means operationalizing the partnership, standing up a joint go-to-market motion, landing an initial cohort of customers, and executing high-quality enterprise deployments while expanding the relationship's depth and value. Ideal candidates have substantial experience leading high-stakes business operations, strategic partnerships, product operations, or complex cross-functional programs. You should have a track record as an accountable operator for consequential outcomes, excellent program leadership and organizational skills, exceptional internal and external relationship leadership, strong product judgment with sufficient technical fluency, commercial judgment and negotiation experience, high agency with low ego, and clear executive communication skills.
