Via Transportation is seeking a Strategic Partnerships Principal to lead business development efforts across Northern Europe (UK and Nordics). This is a quota-carrying, full-cycle sales role focused on establishing revenue-generating partnerships with government agencies and private-sector organizations to deploy Via's transportation technology solutions.
You will be responsible for the entire business development lifecycle: identifying opportunities, building data-driven business cases, negotiating contracts, and closing deals. Your core responsibilities include developing deep expertise in Via's product suite (on-demand mobility, Citymapper for Cities, Remix transit planning), conducting market research and competitive analysis, and acting as a strategic consultant to prospective clients on regional transit planning and funding mechanisms.
Beyond sales execution, you'll serve as the regional face of Via—leading local marketing campaigns, speaking at industry conferences, and establishing thought leadership in the mobility space. You'll conduct category and industry mapping to identify market trends and translate insights into growth recommendations. The role requires strong cross-functional collaboration with product, operations, and marketing teams to enhance offerings based on market feedback.
You'll work from Via's London office near Chancery Lane in a hybrid model, with approximately 25% travel expected across your territory. The ideal candidate has 6+ years of client-facing experience, ideally with public-sector sales exposure. You should be an excellent communicator, skilled at relationship-building with senior executives, and comfortable with the iterative nature of complex B2B sales cycles. While you'll start as an individual contributor, the role values mentoring capability and potential for growth. Fluency in Nordic languages (Swedish, Danish, Norwegian) is a significant plus.
