Via is a TransitTech leader transforming public mobility globally through technology and service design. Following the acquisition of Citymapper, Via is expanding its end-to-end transportation solutions across Europe. As Strategic Partnerships Principal, you will lead business development efforts across Northern Europe (UK and Nordics), responsible for establishing revenue-generating partnerships with government agencies, municipalities, and private-sector transportation leaders.
You will own the full business development cycle: opportunity identification, market research, proposal development, and contract negotiation. Your role combines strategic account management with thought leadership—you'll educate prospective clients on Via's solutions (on-demand mobility, Citymapper for Cities, Remix transit planning), develop data-driven business cases, and act as the regional face of Via through speaking engagements, marketing campaigns, and industry visibility.
Key responsibilities include: developing deep expertise in Via's platform and regional transportation markets; conducting category and industry mapping to identify trends and growth opportunities; leading full-cycle sales efforts with quota accountability; serving as a strategic consultant to senior government and business leaders on transit planning and funding mechanisms; and mentoring junior team members as the business grows.
You bring 6+ years of client-facing experience, ideally with public-sector sales or engagement. You're an excellent communicator with strong commercial intuition, relationship-building skills, and the ability to navigate complex, long-cycle deals. Fluency in Nordic languages (Swedish, Danish, Norwegian) is valued. You're comfortable traveling 25% of the time and excited to build high-value partnerships in a growing market.
Via operates 650+ mobility deployments across 35+ countries and is backed by significant venture capital. The role offers competitive compensation with stock options, hybrid work near Chancery Lane in London, and the opportunity to directly impact sustainable transportation at scale.
