Modulr is a fintech platform enabling businesses to embed payments into their workflows. The company powers instant payment collection, disbursement, and fund management across payment schemes, accounts, and card products, with particular strength in the travel and SaaS sectors.
As Strategic Partnerships Manager for Travel, you will own the full partnership lifecycle for Modulr's travel channel. This includes identifying and engaging target platforms (GDS, intermediaries, aggregators, OTAs, TMCs, travel SaaS), building and managing a pipeline of prospects, and negotiating commercial models (revenue share, referral, embedded finance) that work for both parties.
Key responsibilities include: making the commercial case for embedding Modulr's payments and virtual card capabilities; structuring and negotiating partnership deals; developing plans to hit new-partner and partnership-revenue targets; taking deals through signature and successful launch in collaboration with product, solutions, legal, risk, and compliance teams; representing Modulr at travel industry events; and feeding market and competitor insights back into product and go-to-market strategy.
You will need a proven track record of sourcing and signing new partnerships in travel payments or the broader travel ecosystem, with an established network across GDS, intermediaries, aggregators, OTAs, TMCs, and travel SaaS platforms. Deep knowledge of embedded payments, virtual cards, and the wider payments landscape (card schemes, acquiring, real-time payments) is essential. You should be comfortable navigating long, complex, multi-stakeholder deals with a consultative, partnership-led approach. Strong commercial acumen—building business cases, structuring deals, forecasting pipeline value—and confidence presenting to and negotiating with C-suite stakeholders are required. CRM proficiency (Salesforce) is expected.
Nice-to-haves include business-level Spanish fluency, existing relationships with enterprise travel brands, experience building embedded payments propositions, and curiosity about leveraging AI to sharpen sales and partner support.
Modulr offers share options through a Company Share Option Plan (CSOP), giving you the opportunity to benefit from increases in share value in the event of a sale, merger, or flotation. The role is full-time, in-office 4 days per week in London.
