Salary: CAD 55,000 - 70,000 / annual
FlixBus is seeking a Strategic Partnerships Associate to support market expansion across Canada by securing access to critical transportation infrastructure and managing relationships with key stakeholders in a highly regulated environment.
In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and negotiating bus stop access agreements with both government entities and private sector partners. You will work to secure high-impact locations for bus stops and stations by leveraging relationships with Canadian transit agencies such as Metrolinx, OC Transpo, and Calgary Transit, as well as private business partners and property owners. A key part of your responsibilities involves navigating complex government processes at federal, provincial, and municipal levels while ensuring regulatory compliance.
You will serve as the primary contact for station-related and government relations matters, advocating for FlixBus in infrastructure planning forums. You'll align commercial objectives with government policies by identifying opportunities and mitigating regulatory risks. Additionally, you will coordinate with internal teams to standardize documentation, refine processes, and improve operational efficiencies.
The ideal candidate brings 1+ years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or real estate development, with demonstrated work involving Canadian government entities at multiple levels. You should have 1+ years of project management experience and knowledge of Canadian transportation regulations and public transit systems. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. French language skills are a plus but not required.
