Jerry is an AI-powered platform managing car insurance, home, motorcycle, and RV ownership. The company has reached 5M+ customers, raised $240M+, and achieved profitability in 2024. You will join as Strategic Finance Manager, reporting to the VP of Finance, to build the financial analysis driving capital allocation decisions across new products, verticals, and channels.
You will own three core areas:
**Operating Model & Planning:** Build and maintain Jerry's driver-based operating model for the base business and new insurance products. Run the annual budget and long-range planning process end-to-end, including cadence, stakeholder inputs, and consolidated executive commitments. Own monthly and quarterly forecast cycles with variance analysis. Write executive narratives translating financial results into business insights for the CFO, founders, board, and investors at a standard that survives external diligence. Lead monthly business reviews with functional leaders to translate numbers into decisions. Support evaluation and implementation of planning systems.
**New Opportunity Analysis:** Build financial models for new products, verticals, channels, and partnerships—sizing markets, modeling economics, and evaluating capital commitment and return profiles. Read results back against the case once live, comparing actual economics to underwrites and monitoring unit economics (CAC, payback, retention, LTV, contribution margin). Support corporate development through diligence, modeling, and transaction analysis. Frame build/buy/partner decisions and refine comparison frameworks.
**Vendor Spend Underwriting:** Build business cases before commitments, support negotiation on terms, and give budget owners visibility to manage their numbers.
You will work closely with the CFO and founders in a high-growth, capital-allocation-intensive environment. The role involves building financial processes from scratch and scaling reporting to meet external diligence standards as newer products scale.

- Track record of translating complex analysis into clear narrative for executive or investor audience
- Startup or high-growth experience strongly preferred, including building financial processes from scratch
