Abnormal AI is seeking a Strategic Events Manager to own the execution and delivery of the APAC Strategic Events program. This is a senior individual-contributor role with full accountability for a regional portfolio, real budget ownership, and strategic decision-making authority—but no direct reports. You will manage all aspects of event logistics end-to-end across multiple APAC markets, including venue selection, vendor management, booth logistics, catering, AV, shipping, accommodation, and signage. You'll source and negotiate with agencies, venues, production partners, and suppliers at regional scale, build run-of-shows and contingency plans for concurrent events, and coordinate invitation strategy and attendee communications to ensure the right stakeholders attend. Beyond execution, you'll support APAC strategic event mapping and calendar planning, prioritizing investment against pipeline and account-engagement goals. You'll help decide which events warrant budget allocation and advocate for the portfolio with regional and global leadership. You'll understand target accounts, ICP, and GTM priorities for each market and tailor activation strategy accordingly. You'll partner closely with Regional Revenue Marketing, Sales, SDR/BDR, Customer Marketing, Sales Engineering, and Partner/Alliance teams across regions and time zones. You'll develop and maintain regional partner and tech-alliance event engagement, including co-sponsored and co-hosted activations, and work with Revenue Marketing to ensure Sales enablement on all event details. Budget ownership is central: you'll manage event budgets to stay within targets while maximizing value, handle budget administration (POs, invoices, budget tools), and negotiate to secure best rates and contract terms. On-site, you'll lead execution for flagship regional events, direct temporary or contract staff, troubleshoot in real time, train on-site team members, and set clear expectations. Post-event, you'll own lead capture, CRM hygiene, and pipeline forecasting tied to event performance, report regional ROI to leadership, build repeatable regional playbooks, and run retrospectives to continuously improve the program. This role requires roughly 40–50% travel, mainly across APAC with some EMEA and AMER travel, including evening/weekend work around live events. **Requirements:** - 4–7 years' experience in B2B strategic events, ideally within technology, SaaS, cybersecurity, or enterprise software - Demonstrated track record of owning event strategy and budget for multiple regions independently (not just executing a plan set by someone else) - Strong program management skills: able to operate with ambiguity, prioritize ruthlessly, and drive cross-functional work to an outcome without close oversight - Experience managing across multiple time zones - Significant budget, vendor, and contract management experience across multiple concurrent markets - Experience partnering with regional Sales leadership to align events to pipeline and account goals - Comfortable presenting regional event results, ROI, and forecasts to senior stakeholders - Willingness to travel 40–50%, mainly across APAC with some EMEA and AMER travel, including evening/weekend work around live events **Preferred:** - Experience with event and marketing technology (Asana, Allocadia, Coupa, Jifflenow, Cvent, Salesforce, Sigma, Splash, RainFocus, Claude, Google Suite) - Additional regional language (e.g., Mandarin, Japanese, Bahasa) - Familiarity with account-based marketing (ABM) principles and target-account event strategies - Experience mentoring or informally guiding more junior events team members
