Forter is seeking a Strategic Alliance Manager to build and lead the company's partner ecosystem strategy across Australia, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia. This is the first regional hire for Strategic Alliances, offering significant opportunity to establish market presence from the ground up.
You will develop and execute a comprehensive business development plan aligned with Forter's growth objectives. Key responsibilities include identifying and establishing strategic partnerships with digital agencies, systems integrators, payment providers (Airwallex, Adyen, Stripe, Checkout.com, Zip, Block/Afterpay), and technology platforms (Salesforce, AWS) within the e-commerce ecosystem. You will own your territory, drive revenue growth through partner channels, and ensure sourced deals contribute to the global Strategic Alliances team's success.
You'll negotiate and structure complex partnership agreements, manage contracts, and build lasting relationships with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders. Cross-functional collaboration with local and regional sales teams, plus global product, marketing, analytics, and operations teams, will be essential to keep strategy and execution aligned.

Required: 5–7+ years in sales, business development, or strategic alliances, ideally in e-commerce, payments, or fraud prevention. Experience with Salesforce and/or AWS ecosystems is essential. Strong understanding of e-commerce and payments market dynamics, with familiarity of ANZ payment providers a significant plus. Proven track record closing complex partnership deals. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Startup experience and comfort with fast pace, shifting priorities, and hands-on problem-solving preferred. Willingness to travel regionally required.
