Storyous, a market-leading hospitality POS and operations platform in Central Europe (now part of Teya, a British fintech), is seeking a full-stack software engineer to work on mission-critical microservices powering their POS ecosystem. The role focuses on TypeScript, Node.js, and modern frontend technologies, with responsibility for APIs, databases, billing systems, and third-party integrations.
You will own medium-sized features end-to-end—from technical design through release—while collaborating with cross-functional teams using PHP, Vue.js, and Android Kotlin. Day-to-day work includes writing clean, testable, secure code; refactoring and deprecation efforts; building integration tools; conducting code reviews; and participating in on-call rotations. The team values continuous delivery, fast release cycles, and engineers who can communicate effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required experience: 3+ years of professional full-stack development with TypeScript/JavaScript/Node.js; REST API design and consumption; NoSQL and relational databases (MongoDB, MariaDB); cloud/infrastructure basics (Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Heroku); unit and integration testing; observability and debugging tools; Git workflows and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions); and AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor). You should be comfortable working independently, willing to learn unfamiliar parts of the codebase, and fluent in English. The role requires in-office presence 2–3 days per week.
Storyous offers 26 days annual leave, flexible working hours, home office options, a diverse international team (8+ nationalities, 26% female engineers), and a collaborative, informal office culture with regular team events.
