Salary: USD 69,250 - 118,250 / annual
Curriculum Associates is seeking a State Bid Manager to lead the full lifecycle of state adoption bids for K–12 instructional materials (math, science, ELA). The role sits at the intersection of project management, operations, and cross-functional coordination, managing complex bid submissions to state departments of education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end state bid submission processes for instructional materials adoptions
- Design and implement new organizational systems to streamline adoption workflows and improve efficiency
- Build detailed project plans and schedules for state bid submissions, ensuring compliance with state requirements and timelines
- Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to protect business objectives
- Lead weekly cross-functional status meetings, track action items, and maintain correspondence logs with state education departments
- Coordinate with the Adoptions team and other departments to ensure all bid content is accurate, consistent, and meets state standards
- Oversee production, printing, binding, and shipping of physical bid submissions
- Support teams with schedules for standards correlations, criteria documents, and rubric completion
- Leverage AI tools to enhance productivity and streamline workflows
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
- 5+ years in educational publishing, ideally with an Adoptions or RFP team at a K–12 publisher
- Strong project management software expertise and process knowledge
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional work across large, diverse teams
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to juggle multiple projects and competing deadlines while maintaining quality
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and creative problem-solver
- Travel: <10%
