Vercel, the agentic infrastructure company behind Next.js, v0, and AI SDK, is seeking a Startup Program Lead to build, lead, and scale its global startup program. This role owns the startup program end-to-end, from strategy and execution to team operations, with a focus on early-stage founders from pre-seed through Series A.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and executing Vercel's global startup program strategy and roadmap, driving adoption and engagement among early-stage companies
- Building, managing, and mentoring a high-performing startup program team
- Designing and scaling programs like the Vercel AI Accelerator that drive activation and retention
- Cultivating relationships with venture capital firms, accelerators, incubators, and founder communities to bring quality startups into Vercel's ecosystem
- Partnering with Sales to identify high-potential startups and support their progression into long-term customers
- Establishing clear pathways from early adoption through deeper product usage, expansion, and retention
- Working cross-functionally with Marketing, Partnerships, Developer Relations, and other teams to integrate the startup program into campaigns and ecosystem distribution
- Identifying opportunities to embed Vercel into the early-stage ecosystem, including VC platforms and accelerator programs
- Serving as a visible leader and ambassador in the startup ecosystem through events, founder advising, and relationship-building
- Bringing insights from early-stage founders and developers back into Vercel's marketing, product, and go-to-market strategies
You bring 6+ years of experience in programs, partnerships, or ecosystem roles at high-growth technology or developer-focused companies. You have a proven track record building and scaling programs from 0 to 1 with measurable impact on marketing, growth, or revenue. You've managed or led teams and built strategic relationships with VCs, accelerators, and early-stage companies. You understand the startup ecosystem deeply and can engage credibly with technical audiences. You're a strong cross-functional operator with data-driven mindset and excellent communication skills. Familiarity with modern frontend technologies (React, Next.js, Vite, Astro, Remix) is expected. Bonus: open-source contributions, existing relationships with top-tier VCs or accelerators like Y Combinator, or experience building applications at scale with modern frontend tech.
