Join Zoox's Software Systems Infrastructure team as a Staff/Senior Staff Software Engineer responsible for building internal tooling, development processes, and safety-critical software infrastructure for autonomous vehicles. This is a full-stack engineering role focused on establishing infrastructure and designing software tools that automate, track, and audit processes essential to building safety-critical software for next-generation transportation systems.
You will work across Zoox's entire software organization, collaborating with AI Perception engineers, RTOS specialists, middleware developers, and systems engineers. The role draws on principles from avionics, automotive, and other safety-critical industries to ensure production vehicles meet the highest safety standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and developing full-stack software tools and infrastructure
- Establishing processes and methodologies for safety-critical software development
- Automating and auditing safety-critical workflows
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams spanning perception, firmware, and middleware
- Contributing to a high-paced, technically rigorous engineering environment
This is a Staff/Principal-level individual contributor role with company-wide technical scope, working on mission-critical infrastructure that directly impacts vehicle safety and autonomous driving capabilities.
