Salary: USD 191,000 - 253,000 / annual
Anduril Industries is seeking a Staff Threat & Attack Research Engineer to join the Security organization. This role combines threat intelligence expertise with advanced engineering skills to develop and implement sophisticated threat actor tracking and analysis systems protecting Anduril's defense technology products and infrastructure.
You will monitor and analyze complex cyber threats targeting Anduril's systems and personnel, research emerging technical trends in the threat landscape, and develop long-term countermeasures against nation-state and sophisticated threat actors. You'll collaborate closely with detection and response teams to provide actionable intelligence supporting ongoing investigations, engage with offensive security teams on red team exercises, and enhance tooling for threat actor tracking and intelligence data integration. The role also involves fostering proactive collaboration with external security partners to build joint capabilities.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven experience analyzing complex threat actor campaigns, including supply chain and infrastructure threats, with ability to develop long-term countermeasures
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages (Python, Rust, Golang, Swift)
- Capacity to prioritize and execute tasks independently with minimal supervision
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to obtain and hold a U.S. Secret security clearance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- In-depth knowledge of nation-state, sophisticated criminal, or supply chain threats
- Experience creating file-based or network-based rules and signatures (YARA, Snort) for detection and tracking
- Track record of writing production code for threat intelligence tools
- Expertise in large-scale data analysis
- Established connections within the security and threat intelligence community
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Experience with Vertex Synapse
