Salary: USD 191,000 - 253,000 / annual
Anduril Industries is seeking a Staff Systems Engineer to join the Model-Based Systems Engineering team supporting the development of cutting-edge autonomous airpower systems. This role is critical to establishing Anduril's systems engineering and mission systems integration capabilities.
You will serve as a systems engineer interfacing with internal programs and external customers, developing model-based systems engineering artifacts that often become contractual deliverables. Your work will be demonstrated at stakeholder meetings and events, directly proving Anduril's advanced systems engineering capabilities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing systems engineering artifacts based on stakeholder needs and functional requirements
- Collaborating with product engineering, modeling and simulation, and business development teams
- Participating in the development and implementation of digital and systems engineering strategy
- Creating and maintaining systems engineering artifacts that demonstrate the transformational value of Anduril's autonomy, simulation, and perception platforms
- Ensuring artifact completeness, accuracy, and alignment with customer expectations
Required qualifications include a B.S. in aerospace, mechanical, computer science, or related engineering field, plus 12+ years of systems engineering experience across the full lifecycle. You must have deep expertise in missile systems, including aerodynamics, propulsion, guidance/navigation/control systems, and weapon system integration. Technical proficiency with SysML, DoDAF, MagicDraw, and digital engineering workflows is essential. You must currently hold an active U.S. Secret clearance and be eligible to obtain Top Secret clearance.
Preferred qualifications include CFD/propulsion modeling experience, control system design for guided weapons, reliability prediction techniques, mission modeling (OCA/DCA, ISR, SEAD/DEAD), MATLAB/SIMULINK proficiency, and INCOSE SEP certification.
