Salary: USD 191,000 - 253,000 / annual
Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking an experienced Staff Systems Engineer to join the Electronic Warfare (EW) team. This role supports the design, development, and deployment of Electronic Support Measures (ESM) and Electronic Attack (EA) / Electronic Counter Measures (ECM) systems across the full product lifecycle, from concept through deployment.
You will work across multiple EW domains including counter-radar, counter-UAS, counter-communications (wireless protocols such as Bluetooth, 3G/4G/5G, Wi-Fi), counter-PNT, and counter-RCIED systems. The role involves coordinating across engineering disciplines to ensure system requirements and designs are properly defined, implemented, and validated. You will lead program teams through critical systems engineering reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR) and own related contractual deliverables (CDRLs).
Key responsibilities include system design and test of embedded devices and Software Defined Radios (SDRs), creation and traceability of system requirements, requirement verification and validation, and technical leadership across multiple concurrent projects. You will produce technical documentation including white papers, proposals, trade studies, test plans, test procedures, and test reports. The role requires the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders and to balance multiple projects simultaneously.

REQUIREMENTS:
- 15+ years of hands-on systems engineering leadership experience
- Experience with system design, development, and test of ESM and EA/ECM systems in one or more of: counter-radar, counter-UAS, counter-comms (wireless protocols), counter-PNT, or counter-RCIED
- Experience with embedded devices and Software Defined Radios (SDRs)
- Experience with system requirements creation, requirement traceability, and requirement verification and validation
- Experience coordinating across disciplines to ensure system requirements and design are properly and thoroughly defined, implemented, and validated
- Experience leading program teams through systems engineering reviews and owning related CDRLs including SRR, PDR, and CDR
- Excellent technical writing skills with experience in white papers, proposals, trade studies, test plans, test procedures, and test reports
- Skilled at explaining complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Excellent at balancing multiple projects
- Enthusiastic about both team and individual work
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret/Top Secret security clearance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in SIL (System in Lab) design, setup, and automation
- Familiarity with RF systems and RF test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, vector network analyzers)
- Experience with system-level RF cascade analysis, co-site analysis, and mission modeling
- Experience with mission modeling tools (AFSIM, STK)
- Flight test experience and flight test data analysis
- Experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and modeling tools (e.g., Cameo)
- Experience integrating firmware and software builds on prototype and production-grade hardware
