Anduril Industries is seeking a Staff Systems Engineer to join the Space Special Programs team in Chantilly, Virginia. This role is responsible for the full lifecycle of spacecraft and space systems design, development, integration, testing, and operations. You will manage requirements, risks, budgets, and trade studies while interfacing across spacecraft disciplines and with customers to ensure systems meet requirements and goals.
As both an individual contributor and team lead, you will develop system and mission designs, mentor team members, and serve as the expert systems engineer. Key responsibilities include:
- Work with cross-functional teams to design market-leading hardware products for space applications
- Drive product maturity through rapid prototyping, design verification, and qualification activities
- Apply modern spaceflight hardware design standards to create high-reliability, highly manufacturable systems
- Develop, track, and maintain system requirements; coordinate with other disciplines to ensure compliance testing and verification
- Manage the full lifecycle from concept through operations for spacecraft and associated systems
- Interface with customers and internal stakeholders to communicate progress and drive mission success
- Mentor and grow team members in systems engineering practices
