Graphcore is seeking a Staff Systems Bring Up Engineer to lead system validation and enablement for AI compute rack infrastructure. This is a high-visibility technical leadership role within the Systems Validation team, where you will drive multiple aspects of validation throughout the product lifecycle.
You will lead first silicon and system bring-up at both node and rack levels, working with ARM server architecture-based systems and blades. Your responsibilities include developing system enablement methodologies, creating lab hardware and system software capabilities, and establishing debug tools necessary for successful hardware/firmware/software integration. You will own test plan development and execution across key domains including CPU, GPU, memory, HBM, and IO subsystems.
Key responsibilities include: leading system enablement and first silicon bring-up to meet plan-of-record specifications; driving organization-wide firmware integration methodology and best-known configurations; developing methodologies and lab capabilities for blade and rack-level validation; triaging and resolving issues during validation, post-silicon, and production phases; developing and executing comprehensive test plans; and driving technical innovation in system validation tools, scripts, and methodologies.
You will collaborate across System Architects, SoC teams, and Rack Firmware engineers in a global environment. The role requires extensive experience with first silicon validation, OS/firmware/silicon/hardware integration, PCIe and CXL standards, ARM/X86 architecture, memory systems, RAS, power management, and datacenter technologies. Deep Linux and Windows OS knowledge, hypervisor experience (VMware, KVM, Hyper-V), and platform-level debug expertise are essential. Technical program management experience and the ability to champion new validation tools and methodologies are highly valued.
