Graphcore is seeking a Staff System Software Engineer to build and own the test strategy that protects system software releases at scale. In this role, you will shape integration and system testing across firmware, BMC (Baseboard Management Controller), and Linux device drivers, creating a high-quality gate for system software release packages.
You will design, build, automate, and report on tests across complex server-class systems. A key part of your work involves developing reusable tools, pipelines, and packaging solutions that enable teams to move faster with confidence. This is a hands-on technical role requiring deep low-level software knowledge and strong systems thinking. You will own hard technical areas, guide best practices, and stay close to the code.
You will join a new integration and system test team within System Software QA, verifying integrated components across BMC, firmware, and Linux device drivers. You will work closely with developers, consult with package stakeholders, and translate use cases into robust system tests. The role emphasizes evidence-based decision-making, clear technical reasoning, and hands-on leadership. You will be expected to speak up, act fast, and raise standards through mentorship and technical guidance.
