Graphcore is building the future of AI compute as part of the SoftBank Group. The company develops semiconductor, software, and AI infrastructure solutions, including custom IPU (Intelligence Processing Unit) hardware and the complete AI compute stack.
As a Staff System Software Engineer on the Drivers and Utilities team, you will contribute to the planning, design, implementation, and testing of low-level kernel drivers and user-space driver library code. You'll be part of the system software department, working closely with software engineers developing the Poplar SDK and with silicon/hardware engineers developing Graphcore's IPU solution.
The Drivers and Utilities team develops custom control software on the host in both kernel and user space, enabling customers to achieve maximum performance and utility from Graphcore's cutting-edge products. You will report to the Drivers and Utilities team manager and collaborate across the system software group.
This is a Staff-level individual contributor role focused on deep technical expertise in systems software, driver development, and infrastructure. The role offers the opportunity to work on foundational AI infrastructure technology at scale, supporting Graphcore's expansion and the growing SoftBank AI ecosystem.
