ezCater is the #1 food tech platform for workplaces in the US, connecting over 125,000 restaurants with organizations seeking flexible meal solutions. This Staff Software Engineer role focuses on reimagining the restaurant partner experience—the portal and tools that thousands of restaurant operators use daily to discover, onboard, manage, and grow their business on the platform.
You will own the architectural direction of frontend systems powering partner discovery, onboarding, order management, and growth tools. A key early focus is establishing frontend architecture for in-product business intelligence, bringing AI-enabled reporting and data insights directly to restaurant partners within the partner portal. You'll work closely with Product, Design, and peer engineering leaders to define best-in-class partner experience standards and set the engineering practices to enable them.
Key responsibilities include: leading the technical vision for the partner experience (onboarding, menu management, order fulfillment, marketing programs); championing AI-native frontend development practices including design-to-code workflows (Figma, Claude Design, v0) and machine-readable interfaces for both humans and AI agents; partnering with the Front End Core team to define architectural standards (micro-frontend composition, monorepo structure, design system governance, CI/CD); collaborating with Principal Engineers, Product Managers, and Designers to evolve partner-facing systems; establishing frontend architecture for in-product analytics and reporting with embedded visualization tools and accessible, performant data-dense interfaces; and providing mentorship to teammates.
You'll report to the Senior Engineering Manager within the Restaurant Partner Experience organization. This is a high-impact role shaping the technical direction of a critical part of the ezCater platform.
