Lovable is an AI-powered platform that enables anyone to build software using natural language. The company is scaling rapidly, with millions of users from solopreneurs to Fortune 100 companies. You'll join as a Staff Software Engineer to define the technical direction for Lovable Enterprise—the platform that allows enterprise customers to deploy Lovable securely, reliably, and within their own cloud environments.
In this role, you'll own the architecture and technical strategy for enterprise deployments across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. Key responsibilities include designing cloud-agnostic systems that give customers deployment flexibility, building secure sandboxing and runtime environments, setting the technical bar for networking, encryption, and identity infrastructure, and mentoring engineers across the organization. You'll work directly with enterprise customers and cloud providers on complex infrastructure challenges that don't have established playbooks.
You'll spend your time building software, making architectural decisions, and raising the engineering bar. The role offers exceptional ownership—many of the hardest architectural decisions haven't been made yet, giving you the opportunity to shape the foundation of Lovable Enterprise alongside leadership.
The tech stack includes Go, Rust, and TypeScript; AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and Cloudflare; Kubernetes, Terraform, Temporal, and OTEL for infrastructure; and PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, Firestore, Spanner, and BigQuery for data.
You should have deep platform and infrastructure experience with a track record of setting technical direction. Ideal candidates have architected production-scale platform or infrastructure systems, built enterprise products, deep expertise across major cloud providers, experience designing distributed systems, strong programming skills in Go, Rust, Java, C++, or similar languages, and prior experience operating at Staff, Principal, founding engineer, or CTO-level scope. A product mindset is essential—you care about the people using the systems you build, not just the systems themselves.
