Samsara (NYSE: IOT) is the pioneer of the Connected Operations Cloud, a platform enabling organizations to harness IoT data for actionable insights across physical operations industries including agriculture, construction, field services, transportation, and manufacturing.
The Platform & Infrastructure organization is responsible for building foundational systems that power Samsara's software products. This includes Reporting, Automations, Enterprise capabilities, container orchestration, data storage, real-time data ingestion, and GraphQL execution infrastructure.
As a Staff Engineer, you will spearhead technical direction for the organization and serve as a technical leader guiding the team's design and architecture. You will bring fresh ideas and expertise to enable increasingly complex features and customer use cases. Key responsibilities include:
- Drive technology choices, implement services, and establish architectural patterns with broad, lasting impact on Samsara's platform
- Identify opportunities and initiate strategic conversations to influence platform technology direction and engineering culture
- Architect, design, and develop software enabling Samsara to operate at scale
- Lead teams and collaborate with highly-skilled engineers on critical projects
- Push Samsara's technical capabilities forward through innovation and mentorship
You will work on foundational infrastructure that directly impacts customer outcomes across industries representing over 40% of global GDP. The role offers rare closeness to end users through customer interviews and collaboration with product and customer success teams. This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days per week in the Bengaluru office (Prestige Tech Park, Kadubeesanahalli).
