Jasper is a marketing agents platform that helps enterprises orchestrate AI agents to execute marketing work at scale. As a Staff Software Engineer on the IQ team, you will drive the technical vision and architecture for the integration pod—the systems that securely connect Jasper to external platforms like Salesforce and HubSpot, ingest their data, and power the IQ layer that underpins Jasper's LLM-driven output quality and trustworthiness.
You will own the end-to-end technical direction for how Jasper ingests and models external data, navigating real-world constraints including API rate limits, authentication, security, and compliance concerns. You'll design and evolve the context primitives in the IQ layer that depend on external data, and scope the engineering work needed to support them. This is a high-leverage role: the systems you architect directly shape how good, trustworthy, and differentiated Jasper's AI output is for customers.
Beyond your own initiatives, you'll set the bar for engineering excellence on the team, help chart the right sequence of projects and architectural goals, and contribute to the broader org-level technical vision. You'll partner across the team to translate customer-specific integration and design concerns into scalable, maintainable solutions. You'll proactively understand business needs, produce concrete plans, and drive them to completion—setting an example for how staff-level work gets done.
You bring 8+ years of software engineering experience with a proven track record operating at staff/principal scope and influence. You have deep expertise designing and building integration and data-ingestion systems that connect to multiple external systems with differing constraints. You have strong distributed systems fundamentals and the ability to architect for reliability, scalability, and maintainability. You possess AI fluency—a working understanding of LLMs, agents, copilots, tokens, context windows, RAG, and data governance—applied in the context of building AI-powered engineering systems. You have excellent technical judgment and communication skills, with the ability to align teams and stakeholders around architectural direction. Familiarity with marketing tools like Salesforce and HubSpot is a plus but can be learned on the job.
