6sense is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to design and own foundational infrastructure systems that power the company's next-generation core infrastructure platform. This is a high-impact individual contributor role with company-wide technical scope, responsible for building secure, scalable, and observable infrastructure across multiple regions and cloud environments.
Key ownership areas include:
**Core Infrastructure & Cloud Platform**: Design and evolve multi-region, multi-account AWS and Kubernetes architectures. Build secure service connectivity patterns across VPCs, accounts, and regions.
**Security & Zero Trust**: Drive adoption of identity-based access controls, implement secrets management using HashiCorp Vault, and enforce policies via Open Policy Agent. Design secure service-to-service communication and fine-grained IAM systems.
**Infrastructure as Code & Automation**: Build infrastructure using Terraform, Pulumi, and Ansible. Create reusable modules and fully automated provisioning workflows. Integrate with CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
**Cluster & Infrastructure Lifecycle**: Own the lifecycle of Kubernetes clusters (EKS) and managed databases (RDS, Aurora, ElastiCache). Automate cluster upgrades, migrations, node scaling, and patching.
**Multi-Region & Migration Engineering**: Design region-agnostic infrastructure patterns. Enable automated region bootstrap and failover. Lead migration initiatives across regions, accounts, or cloud providers.
**Observability & Reliability**: Build and operate metrics, logging, and tracing systems using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, and Datadog. Improve system reliability, alerting, and incident response.
**Governance & Standards**: Define and enforce resource tagging strategies, data classification policies, and ensure cost visibility and auditability.
**Developer Productivity**: Build self-service infrastructure workflows and improve developer experience through automation and tooling.
This role requires deep expertise in cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, infrastructure-as-code, security best practices, and a track record of designing systems that scale across multiple regions and accounts.
