Salary: USD 186,700 - 255,000 / annual
Webflow is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for Infrastructure to design, build, and maintain highly reliable cloud infrastructure services supporting the company's web marketing platform. You'll lead initiatives to improve reliability, reduce operational overhead, and scale infrastructure to support growing customer demands.
Key responsibilities include:
- Creating and testing reliable cloud infrastructure services across Webflow's product suite
- Leading projects to reduce triage load, increase system reliability, and handle scale
- Working with infrastructure-as-code tools (Pulumi, Terraform) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Cloudflare)
- Managing container-centric architectures using Kubernetes, Docker, and related technologies
- Collaborating with product engineering teams on new service solutions and architectural improvements
- Participating in design reviews, code reviews, and incident response processes
- Mentoring junior engineers and sharing infrastructure best practices
- Enhancing engineering velocity through automation, standardized processes, and cloud best practices
You bring 8+ years of experience building and maintaining distributed systems in customer-facing, high-availability environments. You have hands-on expertise scaling multi-region cloud infrastructure on AWS or GCP, experience with Cloudflare workers, and proficiency with container orchestration platforms. Infrastructure-as-code experience (Terraform/Pulumi) is essential. You're comfortable with TypeScript, Node.js, or Go, have led technical projects, and enjoy mentoring engineers. Experience with agentic development and emerging AI technologies is valued. You communicate clearly, collaborate effectively, and demonstrate curiosity about new technologies.
