Spring Health is a global mental health platform on a mission to eliminate barriers to mental health. The company operates an AI-native platform delivering personalized support across self-guided tools, coaching, therapy, medication management, and specialty care, reaching over 170 million people through employers, health plans, and partners. The Member Growth Engineering team builds digital experiences that help members discover Spring Health and navigate to the right care. The team is evolving beyond traditional acquisition funnels to build a direct-to-consumer brand and habit-forming product, iterating on acquisition loops, activation pathways, and nurturing experiences. As Staff Software Engineer I, Mobile, you will own the mobile architecture and drive engineering excellence across the organization. Key responsibilities include: **Architecture & Design:** Take ownership of the team's mobile architecture, providing system-wide design guidance, decomposing software into discrete components, and ensuring sound tradeoffs. Produce exemplary designs that reflect strategic vision, non-functional requirements, and future product flexibility. **AI Integration:** Use AI to explore and validate architectural patterns; design AI-augmented workflows (automated code generation, incident analysis) that multiply team output. Establish guardrails for safe, responsible, and compliant AI usage. **Technical Leadership:** Drive best practices across the organization, lead initiatives to eliminate tech debt, and prepare the codebase for future roadmap requirements. Own mobile CI/CD, app release processes, and SDK/framework upgrades. Partner with design to define mobile design systems and UX heuristics. **Cross-Org Influence:** Critically influence large cross-team projects, ensuring execution without delay. Provide system-wide architectural perspective to engineers across the tech organization. Develop strong cross-functional relationships and make sound tradeoffs between competing needs. **People Development:** Empower engineers to set ambitious goals and turn vision into reality. Mentor and develop engineers across the organization, not just your immediate team. Bring critical thinking and drive shared understanding in ambiguous situations. Success in this role means owning exemplary mobile architecture that others reference as the standard for engineering excellence, designing AI workflows that make your team more effective, turning vision into strategy and strategy into objectives, driving best practices beyond your immediate team, leading large-scale initiatives to reduce tech debt and improve quality, and fostering a healthy engineering organization.
