Okta is seeking a Staff Full-Stack Software Engineer to join the Business Technology team in Bengaluru, India. You will design, develop, and maintain full-stack solutions for the People Technology stack, including Workday, Greenhouse, and Cornerstone Cloud Applications.
Key responsibilities include:
• Design and develop full-stack solutions using Node.js/React for People Technology applications (Workday, Greenhouse, Cornerstone)
• Develop and maintain robust off-platform integration scripts using Python and LangChain to manage data transfer between People Technology apps and AI platforms via APIs
• Architect and implement scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud-native solutions on AWS for RAG, MCP, and A2A for Agentic AI (LangGraph)
• Collaborate closely with the Business Technology Product Manager to design, develop, test, implement, and support system solutions in People Technology
• Provide technical consultation and best practices for AI and Agentic AI integration across Workday Studio/Extend, Cornerstone, Greenhouse, and associated systems
• Work with AI/ML teams and solution architects to integrate AI capabilities into enterprise applications
• Support and resolve production issues across the full application stack
• Develop and maintain integrations with third-party applications via REST/SOAP APIs, Agent-to-Agent (A2A), and MCP protocols
• Design and implement custom Generative AI solutions using Workday Agent System of Record Agent Tools for practical use cases
This role reports to a Manager in Bangalore and is part of Okta's mission to secure every identity in the AI era.
REQUIREMENTS:
• 9+ years of professional experience with Python and its libraries (Pandas, Boto3) for data manipulation, ETL processes, and developing serverless functions to interact with foundational AI services on AWS Bedrock, OpenAI, or equivalent platforms
• 6+ years with modern front-end frameworks (React, Next.js, TypeScript, Python) and ability to collaborate effectively with Product and Design teams
• Deep hands-on experience with AWS solutioning, including designing and deploying production applications using EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, and API Gateway; familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (CloudFormation or Terraform) is essential
• Proven experience building and deploying production-grade AI applications and services
• Experience with agentic frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, LangSmith) is a strong plus
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent years of industry experience
• AWS cloud certification or ERP foundation certificate is a plus
• Understanding of HR/ERP platforms is a plus
