A Place for Mom is seeking a Staff Software Engineer – Full Stack to architect and scale the B2B platform that senior living and home care providers use to manage referrals and relationships. This role reports to the Senior Engineering Manager – B2B Platform and owns the full technical stack: React/TypeScript front-end experiences, .NET services and unified API layers, and Python data ingestion pipelines that normalize provider data from NPPES, state licensing boards, and other sources into Databricks. You will be a hands-on technical leader responsible for designing and deploying features across the entire stack, from database to browser. The role emphasizes AI-first development: you will use LLM-powered coding agents (Claude Code, MCP-based tools) as a core part of daily workflow, apply LLMs to product and data problems (extraction, classification, entity resolution, workflow automation), and help the team adopt and govern AI tooling responsibly. You will build partner-facing experiences that simplify referral management, community profiles, and reporting for agency users. Key responsibilities include designing cloud-native, service-oriented components; enabling continuous deployment through quality engineering practices (linting, testing, automation); peer reviewing code and mentoring engineers; investigating and resolving production issues end-to-end; and partnering with product and project managers to deliver on time and at high quality. You will help define engineering best practices, champion modern ways of working (Agile, DevOps), and keep technical documentation current. Required qualifications: 10+ years of software engineering with demonstrated full-stack depth; strong proficiency in React, TypeScript, and modern front-end architecture; strong back-end services and API experience in a modern server-side language, plus relational data modeling and SQL; working proficiency in Python; demonstrated proficiency with AI-assisted and agentic development workflows with concrete examples; practical experience building LLM-backed features (prompt design, retrieval, structured output, cost/latency management, quality evaluation); experience with AWS and modern data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake); and strong communication and problem-solving skills. Preferred: B2B or partner-facing SaaS, marketplace, or referral management experience; large-scale web scraping or third-party data acquisition; entity resolution or master data management; healthcare domain knowledge.
