As Staff Frontend Engineer, you'll own the technical direction of Genius AI's web platform: the shared UI frameworks, component libraries, tooling, and release infrastructure that enable dozens of product teams to ship faster and with higher quality. This is a force-multiplier role, not a feature role.
Key responsibilities:
- Architect and drive scalable, reusable frontend components and shared libraries that all product teams depend on
- Define long-term technical direction: framework choices, architecture patterns, developer experience
- Champion AI-powered development tools across engineering; establish best practices for AI-assisted frontend work in production
- Own frontend tooling, build pipelines, and developer workflows end-to-end, with relentless focus on velocity
- Set and raise the bar for frontend best practices: code quality, accessibility, performance, Core Web Vitals, design system consistency
- Identify systemic problems before they become blockers; drive solutions with broad cross-team impact
- Partner with product, design, and engineering org-wide to deliver cohesive, high-quality web experiences
You'll need 7+ years of professional frontend engineering with a track record of leading high-impact technical work and owning platform-level decisions. Deep expertise in React, TypeScript, and modern frontend architecture is essential. You should have proven experience building component libraries, design systems, or shared UI frameworks. Strong communicator who influences technical direction and aligns stakeholders without relying on positional authority. Experience with AI-assisted tools (Cursor, GitHub Copilot) and actively shaping team adoption of these practices is a plus.
