In this role, you will drive architectural decisions balancing scalability, maintainability, and rapid deployment. You'll establish technical standards and design patterns that enable faster feature shipping with fewer defects. Key responsibilities include leading technical design reviews, mentoring mid-level and senior engineers into technical leadership roles, and breaking down complex problems into actionable work for the team.
You'll champion engineering best practices including observability, incident response, and production excellence. Cross-functionally, you'll partner with Product and Customer Success teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions, collaborate across distributed teams (Ireland, U.S., Philippines, Australia), and influence the product roadmap by identifying technical opportunities that create competitive advantages.
You'll also focus on maximizing agility by identifying bottlenecks in the development lifecycle, improving CI/CD pipelines and testing infrastructure, and driving adoption of modern engineering practices. The role involves working on sophisticated machine learning models, automated variance analysis, real-time data orchestration from diverse financial sources, and intuitive dashboards that allow users to drill down from high-level summaries to individual transaction details.
