The App Components Team is a platform-focused product engineering group responsible for building the foundational, high-performing components that power Rippling's "Enterprise Studio" experience. As a Staff Software Engineer (Backend Full Stack), you will lead the design and scaling of distributed systems that underpin these components. While your primary focus is backend architecture, this is a genuinely full-stack role: you will contribute to both backend infrastructure and React/React Native frontend code to deliver polished, end-to-end product experiences.
In this role, you will architect scalable backend systems, mentor junior engineers, influence technical direction across the platform, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure cohesive product delivery. You'll work on challenges spanning distributed systems design, API architecture, database optimization, and frontend integration.
