Salary: USD 170,000 - 230,000 / annual

As a Staff Software Engineer, you will take ownership of major product areas, designing and building tools that help veterinary clinics streamline operations and optimize supply chains. Your systems will manage billions of dollars in transactions and empower clinics to focus on patient care rather than logistics.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead design, architecture, and delivery of complex product initiatives across web and mobile platforms
- Build and enhance React and React Native applications used by tens of thousands of veterinary professionals
- Set engineering standards, drive code quality, and ensure strong test coverage
- Develop scalable components, shared libraries, and architectural patterns
- Mentor engineers and influence engineering direction across multiple teams
- Partner with CTO and cross-functional stakeholders on high-impact solutions
- Design features and data models with accuracy, security, and performance in mind
- Troubleshoot complex issues and lead system performance improvements
Required qualifications:
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with ownership of complex, production-grade systems
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field
- Deep expertise in modern programming languages and web frameworks
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and React, including large-scale front-end architecture
- Proven ability to design scalable systems, APIs, and data models
- Solid experience with relational databases and query optimization
- Demonstrated mentorship and technical leadership abilities
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills
