ServiceTitan is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join the engineering leadership team and own the technical direction of a product squad. This is a highly technical individual contributor role where you will lead all technical aspects of an engineering team without necessarily managing people directly.
You will own the short and long-term technical vision for your squad, make major technical decisions, and guide your team's technology choices while contributing code alongside them. Your responsibilities include providing technical mentorship to engineers, improving code quality through design and code reviews, sharing expertise via tech talks and blog posts, and communicating effectively across engineering, product, customers, and leadership.
The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of senior engineering experience designing APIs, abstractions, and tools used by other engineers. Expert-level knowledge required in the Microsoft .NET stack (C#, .NET, ASP.NET MVC, Web APIs), SQL databases (SQL Server or equivalent), HTML5, JavaScript, TypeScript, and React. You should be proficient with Git, unit testing, debugging, profiling, and performance monitoring, with strong communication and technical writing skills.
