ServiceNow is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join their Hyderabad office. In this role, you will build high-quality, scalable, and reusable code while enforcing best practices in software engineering architecture and processes including code reviews and unit testing. You will work closely with product owners to understand detailed requirements and own your code from design through implementation, test automation, and delivery of high-quality products to users.
Key responsibilities include designing software that is simple to use and allows customers to extend and customize functionality to meet their specific needs. You will contribute to the design and implementation of new products and features while enhancing the existing product suite. As a Staff-level engineer, you will mentor colleagues and help promote knowledge-sharing across the organization.

REQUIREMENTS:
- 9+ years of experience with Java or a similar object-oriented language
- Experience leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving (using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's potential impact)
- Passion for JavaScript and the Web as a platform, reusability, and componentization
- Experience with data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, design patterns, and performance/scale considerations
- Experience with modern UI frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue
- Strong analytical and design skills
- Ability to manage projects with material technical risk at a team level
