Qualtrics is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join the Enrichments EMEA team in Krakow. This role focuses on designing and delivering scalable, reliable data services that power critical business functions across the platform. You will lead technical vision and architecture decisions for systems built in Go, Python, Java, and Scala, influencing multiple teams and shaping company-wide technical direction.
Key responsibilities include driving architecture and design of core enrichment services, leading large cross-team projects from inception through production, and mentoring senior and mid-level engineers. You will define technical standards and best practices for multi-language backend development, collaborate with product and data science teams to align technical delivery with strategic goals, and proactively identify and mitigate technical debt and operational risks.
You will communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences including engineering leadership and product partners, balance short-term deliverables with long-term strategic thinking, and influence capacity planning and service reliability best practices. The role emphasizes hands-on technical leadership combined with mentorship and cross-functional collaboration.
