Ping Identity is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for Frontend to join the Neo engineering team. You will design and develop responsive, high-performance web applications that deliver exceptional user experiences, collaborating closely with product managers, UX designers, and backend engineers to build intuitive, user-focused interfaces.
Key responsibilities include designing and developing robust, scalable, maintainable front-end solutions using modern React patterns; collaborating with Product, UX, and Backend teams to define and implement user-centric features; building reusable UI components and contributing to a consistent design system; ensuring code quality through best practices including clear PRs, code reviews, automated testing, and developer-friendly documentation; optimizing applications for speed and reliability (Core Web Vitals, bundle size, rendering performance); shipping accessible experiences by incorporating WCAG-aligned practices; participating in architecture discussions to define front-end development standards; maintaining build pipelines including configuring tools like Vite and managing dependency upgrades; and mentoring and supporting other engineers through pairing, technical guidance, and sharing practical patterns.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent practical experience; 10+ years of front-end development experience building production web applications with modern JavaScript frameworks (React); strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript plus responsive design principles; experience with state management and scalable front-end architecture patterns (e.g., Redux/Redux Toolkit); hands-on experience integrating RESTful APIs and collaborating with backend teams; solid testing and quality practices (Jest/Vitest, React Testing Library, Playwright or Cypress); familiarity with source control and CI/CD workflows (GitHub/GitLab, automated builds, linting, test pipelines); and practical experience diagnosing and improving performance including browser debugging and profiling tools.
Bonus qualifications include experience building and deploying Web SDKs; knowledge of Decentralized Identity (DCI) and Identity & Access Management (IAM) concepts including OAuth/OIDC; experience working with platform teams using Kubernetes, Cassandra, Kafka, and Redis; familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) and internationalization (i18n) tooling; experience with performance monitoring and feature-flagging tools such as New Relic and LaunchDarkly; and experience with modern React ecosystems and build tooling (React 18+, Next.js/Remix, Vite, code-splitting, SSR/ISR).
