Okta is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain advanced NetSuite ERP solutions with a focus on generative AI integration. This role is part of the Business Technology team in Bengaluru and reports to the Business Technology Manager.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and implement custom generative AI solutions using SuiteScript Generative AI APIs for practical NetSuite use cases
- Develop and maintain robust off-platform integration scripts using Python, LangChain, and AWS services to manage data transfer between NetSuite and external AI/ML platforms, with emphasis on data preprocessing for RAG operations
- Collaborate with the Business Technology team to design, develop, test, implement, and support system solutions primarily in Finance Technology
- Provide technical consultation, best practices guidance, and problem resolution
- Support and resolve production issues
- Develop and maintain integrations with third-party applications via REST/SOAP APIs
- Configure NetSuite modules using Prompt Studio to customize and manage embedded NetSuite AI functions
- Drive and architect solutions with other developers to maximize value from embedded NetSuite AI capabilities
Required qualifications:
- 9+ years of professional experience with Python and its libraries (Pandas, Boto3) for data manipulation, ETL processes, and serverless function development
- Proficiency in NetSuite development (SuiteScript, SuiteFlow, SuiteTalk)
- Experience with SuiteCloud tools, REST/SOAP APIs, and third-party integrations
- Hands-on experience with SuiteScript Generative AI APIs for LLM integration
- Strong understanding of NetSuite ERP modules (Order Management, Billing, Vendor Management)
- Proficiency in JavaScript, SQL, and web technologies
- Deep practical experience in prompt engineering and iterative refinement within NetSuite Prompt Studio
- Familiarity with containerization tools (Docker) for deploying Python-based external services
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent industry experience
Preferred qualifications include experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications or SAP HANA, foundational AI services, and AWS Bedrock for generative AI development.
