Okta's Identity Governance organization is seeking a Staff Full Stack Engineer to join the Identity Administration team, responsible for critical enterprise workflows around access requests, approvals, and resource provisioning. In this role, you will lead development of user-facing features spanning the full stack—from React-based UI components through RESTful APIs to Java backend services—serving thousands of enterprises managing access governance at scale.
You will partner closely with UX designers and product managers to translate complex administrative workflows into intuitive, powerful user experiences. Your responsibilities include designing and implementing scalable, responsive web applications; building performant backend services to support multi-org management capabilities; ensuring high code quality through comprehensive testing (Jest/Cypress frontend, JUnit backend); and participating in technical design sessions to align frontend and backend architecture. You will also engage in on-call rotations, collaborate with SRE teams on reliability and uptime, and partner with product, QA, and infrastructure teams on scoping and deployment.

The role requires 7+ years of professional full-stack experience building production-grade web applications, expert-level knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and React, strong Java (Spring/Dropwizard) or Golang experience, deep understanding of RESTful APIs and secure frontend-backend communication, familiarity with OAuth 2.0, OIDC, and JWT, and proficiency in SQL and relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL). Nice-to-haves include experience with observability tools (Splunk, SignalFX), design systems, and multi-tenant infrastructure deployment. A B.S. in Computer Science or related field is required.
