Honor Technology is transforming aging care through technology and services that empower older adults to live independently. The company operates Home Instead, a global franchise network with 100,000+ Care Professionals delivering 50+ million hours of personalized in-home care annually. You'll join the DemandGen Team, building core backend systems that power how families discover care and how Care Professionals manage their work. This role focuses on systems directly supporting Honor's mission—creating digital experiences and growth channels that connect thousands of families with the care they need. You'll own backend architecture and infrastructure, designing relational data models, APIs, and distributed systems that operate at scale. Your responsibilities include building and maintaining production systems, optimizing database performance, and ensuring high-quality code through rigorous debugging and quality procedures. You'll work across cloud platforms (AWS preferred) using Python, collaborate with frontend teams on React/Next.js/TypeScript/Tailwind stacks, and leverage AI tooling to enhance productivity. This is a senior individual contributor role with significant technical scope. You'll mentor engineers, guide architectural decisions, and contribute to engineering culture and process improvements. You'll translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders—product, design, operations—and proactively identify inefficiencies in team and engineering processes. You thrive in cross-functional environments, combining a builder's mindset with product thinking. You care about real-world impact, think creatively about complex problems at the intersection of engineering and human care, and enjoy sharing knowledge with teammates. Strong communication skills—both written and verbal—are essential for success.
