As a Staff Software Engineer, you will own the platformization roadmap for Dialpad's shared services, architecting a multi-year plan to decouple existing functionality into highly reusable, scalable services. This is a high-impact technical leadership role that directly improves developer experience, productivity, security, and platform scalability across the organization.
Key responsibilities include:
- Define a 1-3 year vision and roadmap for Shared Services platformization
- Author clear, comprehensive architectural design documents for cross-team alignment
- Estimate technical resources and requirements for major initiatives
- Drive execution of platformization projects, ensuring delivery milestones are met
- Develop well-tested features with appropriate test coverage, reducing defects and improving engineering velocity
- Serve as the recognized technical expert for your product area, solving complex engineering problems
- Review technical designs to ensure features integrate well and meet business needs
- Lead internal demos and knowledge-sharing sessions on new capabilities
You will report to the Senior Director of Platform Engineering and have the opportunity to be based in either the Vancouver or Kitchener office.
