Salary: USD 209,700 - 233,000 / annual
Cohesity is a leader in AI-powered data security and management, helping organizations defend against cybersecurity threats with comprehensive data security and management capabilities including immutable backup snapshots, AI-based threat detection, and rapid recovery at scale.
You will be responsible for developing system software services in a fast-paced environment, working closely with product engineering and infrastructure teams to implement security services. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and implementing system, container, and cloud security-related product features; architecting high-performance, scalable, and resilient services; and coordinating features across multiple teams. You will lead initiatives and projects, provide technical leadership and mentoring to team members, and advocate for policy as code, security, and automation.
Key responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement system, container, and cloud security product features
- Architect, design, develop, and operationalize high-performance, scalable, reliable, and resilient services
- Coordinate features and deliverables across multiple teams to achieve project goals
- Collaborate with cloud operations to establish KPIs and own end-to-end delivery and lifecycle management
- Lead initiatives and projects with technical leadership and mentoring responsibilities
- Write design specs and communicate with stakeholders regularly
In-office expectations: Hybrid role with 2-3 days per week in office for those within reasonable commute (45-minute average travel time). The company strongly prefers candidates currently located in or near Santa Clara and requires commitment to relocation if outside the area.
REQUIREMENTS:
- B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related experience
- At least 10-12 years of experience in software design and development
- 2+ years of experience in Kubernetes and microservices architecture and container security
- Strong development experience in Golang, C++, Java, and Python
- REST API and gRPC-based application development experience
- Deep understanding of Linux internals, containers, and cloud security
- Deep understanding of cloud security (cloud networks, cloud-based systems), including cryptography and cloud security architecture
- Large-scale distributed systems design and development experience
- Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity and support decision-making
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Motivated to solve complex problems and challenges
