OneTrust is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join the AI Governance team. The role focuses on developing Java microservices and libraries that integrate with enterprise tools (Jira, Slack, Microsoft Teams) and AI solutions (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor) for OneTrust's AI Governance platform.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and develop Java microservices and reusable libraries deployed to Microsoft Azure
- Contribute to architectural decisions for frontend and backend features
- Build integrations with SaaS providers and AI solutions
- Design reusable integration patterns, API contracts, authentication, error handling, and data translation across external systems
- Perform unit testing and support existing development efforts
- Mentor and guide junior engineers on the team
Technical stack includes Core Java, REST APIs, Spring ecosystem, and cloud-native architecture on Azure. The role requires strong software engineering fundamentals, experience with microservices architecture, and the ability to work on complex integration challenges. Staff-level engineers are expected to influence technical direction, mentor team members, and drive architectural improvements across the AI Governance product line.
