YipitData is a unicorn-valued ($1B+) market research and analytics firm backed by The Carlyle Group, analyzing billions of alternative data points daily to deliver strategic intelligence across software, AI, cloud, e-commerce, ridesharing, and payments sectors. The company serves top investment funds and Fortune 500 companies globally, with offices in the US, APAC, and India. You will own features and systems end-to-end for the Corporate Insight Agent platform—a suite of AI-enabled products and analytics experiences used by major US retailers and brands to understand shoppers, market share, and competitive positioning. Reporting to the Head of Corporate Applications, you'll serve as a subject matter expert across the full stack, from requirements gathering and solution design through implementation, deployment, and iteration. Key responsibilities include: - Architecting and building production AI Agent systems that customers and internal teams depend on daily - Collaborating with Corporate Product Management and business stakeholders to identify opportunities and shape requirements - Driving initiatives proactively—defining what gets built, why it matters, and how to execute effectively - Balancing rapid prototyping with long-term engineering rigor, knowing when to build lightweight POCs versus scalable production systems - Iterating closely with users, incorporating feedback quickly while maintaining strong engineering standards for quality, reliability, and observability - Leveraging AI tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex) to improve productivity and ship trustworthy solutions faster You bring 7+ years architecting and developing full-stack applications, with strong experience building high-quality user experiences and scalable distributed systems. You have 5+ years hands-on with Python, React, AWS, and modern data platforms. You understand application architecture, APIs, observability, messaging and workflow patterns, and how infrastructure decisions impact systems. Critically, you have hands-on experience building LLM-powered products and Agent Experiences—designing Agent Loops, integrating MCP, and developing custom tools. You treat AI coding tools as core infrastructure, not novelty. You're comfortable navigating ambiguity, customer-obsessed in your approach, responsive and reliable, and an excellent communicator especially when things go wrong.
