Salary: CAD 176,000 - 264,000 / annual
Clio is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join its rapidly growing engineering team focused on internationalization. This role is available in Toronto, Dublin, or Barcelona and represents a new position on the team.
You will act as a technical stakeholder for multiple projects within your area of focus, partnering with development managers to define technical roadmaps. Your responsibilities include identifying and resolving technical blockers that unblock product opportunities, writing high-quality and well-tested code, and collaborating with developers to solve complex problems. You'll simplify coding patterns and abstractions to make them more approachable, review peer code across teams, and mentor engineers in an Agile environment.
A day in the life involves working with a diverse technology stack, learning new technologies, and challenging yourself to recognize when simple solutions are the right ones. You'll teach and learn from those around you, providing constructive feedback and taking feedback to help grow as part of #TeamClio.
You bring experience building web applications at scale, particularly with Ruby on Rails. You have demonstrated success mentoring software developers in large-scale SaaS products and can master new technologies quickly in a dynamic, distributed environment. You possess a diverse knowledge base that helps your team solve complex technical problems, a portfolio of successful projects, and excellent communication skills. International or global development experience is a plus but not required.
