Zscaler is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead the design and delivery of scalable integration and automation solutions supporting Finance transformation within the IT organization. Reporting to the Manager of Integrations, you will partner closely with Finance stakeholders to modernize processes, reduce spreadsheet dependencies, and improve data flow across systems using APIs, middleware, RPA, and AI technologies.
Key responsibilities include designing and maintaining scalable enterprise integrations using APIs, middleware, and event-driven architectures; translating business requirements into intelligent automation solutions leveraging AI/ML and generative AI; eliminating manual spreadsheet dependencies and improving data integrity across finance workflows; embedding cybersecurity best practices and ensuring SOX, audit, and internal control compliance; and executing rigorous engineering standards including clean code, defensive programming, unit/integration testing, and QA automation.
You should have 8+ years of software engineering, integrations, or enterprise applications experience with strong finance systems background and hands-on experience modernizing finance business processes. Deep expertise in APIs, middleware, event-driven architectures, and enterprise integration patterns is essential. You must have proven experience delivering AI, automation, or intelligent process transformation solutions and solid understanding of SOX, audit, cybersecurity, and internal controls in enterprise environments. Foundational understanding of AI/ML technologies and experience leveraging AI-driven solutions is required.
Preferred qualifications include hands-on experience with NetSuite, Workday, FloQast, and Workiva.
